Bianchi C2C Via Nirone 7 Alu/Hydro Carbon Road Bike in Red, comes with a set of as new tyres. Collection only from Twickenham. I replaced this with a newer bike some time ago and have not ridden it since, so it has to go as my garage is full and I can’t justify hanging on to it. This bike comes with a majority of Campagnolo Veloce Groupset parts. Front and Rear Derailleurs (gear shifters). Crankset is FSA Gossamer compact chainset with 50/34 rings (compact is better for going uphill). Brake calipers are Reparto Corse – Bianchi own brand. Wheels are made by Ambrosio. New bottom bracket bearings. New Genesis bike brand saddle. FSA 100mm stem +/-6 degrees. FSA handlebars approx 410mm centre to centre. Reparto Corse seatpost, (carbon wrapped alloy post I think). Forks are Bianchi carbon fibre with an alloy steerer tube. Front and rear refelctors included. Also comes with original Bianchi owners manual. This setup is as I picked it up from the bike shop when new, except for the saddle, the brand of bar tape and tyres. It comes fitted with Vittoria Zaffiro Pro 23c tyres which were an upgrade in terms of puncture resistance over the original tyres. I include a spare, almost brand new set of Vittoria Zaffiro 25c tyres that have done 30 miles from new – I rode with them once and the bike I put them on got put on a turbo trainer and these tyres got stored in the garage. Being 25c the theory is that the new tyres offer more comfort than 23c tyres. This is the now discontinued premium model with the carbon seat stays – see photos. I think the carbon looks great! The photos show condition. It looks good overall – I fell in love with the bike as soon as I saw the shiny red paint job and I think it still looks great, but up close you can see where the gear cable has rubbed the paint on the head tube and the various chips and scuffs in the paint. All commensurate with age and use. The frame equates to about a Medium. I’m about 5’8″ or 9 and I’d think you would be okay with this if you were a couple of inches either way, between 5’6″ and 5’11. I have given the drivetrain (chain and rear cassette) a good clean – see photos. A check with a chain gauge shows that the chain has a little wear left in it. Steering is smooth and quiet with no movement, so I think the ahead set is okay. Also, the wheel hubs still sound smooth and quiet. It is on original brake pads which have some life left. For full disclosure, I changed out all the groupset (brakes/gears/crankset/chain/cassette) a long time ago for a very lovely Campagnolo Athena set which is why this is all in such good condition for it’s age.
